Team Disha's swift action to save an innocent child under conversion threat

A housemaid and a gardener's small grandchild was in an NGO studying. The mother had left the child & father is a drunkard . Initially the child was residing  in Jalahalli  and then moved to Devanahalli. Currently the child was in hoodi NGO homes. The contact of this NGO was not entertaining any conversation with the child right from the beginning , even with their grand parents. Some how when we got a chance to interact with the child , we came to know of a probable conversion attempt or a mind wash on Christianity.

Grandparents were unable to talk to the child since 4 months. They felt the child has become very dull. The very purpose of joining her to an NGO was to avoid  her falling into wrong hands. But the same seem to have happened. The institution was contacted to return the child but they kept postponing it .

Team Disha swung into action and a handful of people got together on a Sunday afternoon . We went to Hoodi office to get the child back. The process though took time was successful

It was a satisfactory experience on seeing the child smile and also seeing the Child's grandparents relieved.

Kudos to team Disha and all the volunteers who made this happen !!

Financial Support to a needy family

If the intention is good and the efforts are in right direction, society will never let anyone to sink.
This has become true in the case of a resident of Talaghattpura and a mother of 2 kids. Her husband passed away quite a long back and her younger brother murdered too. So she has to take care of her aged parents apart from her kids. whom we had met during election campaign. We had promised her to help after the election.  Accordingly team Mission Disha visited her house and assured to support. Her immediate concern is some source of income since she is the only bread winner of the family and her daughter's college fees ₹22,100 was the burning issue for her.  We shared this issue with few of our friends they came forward to contribute wholeheartedly.  Because of their generosity team Disha was able to raise a huge sum of Rs. 22,100/- within 24 hours towards the college fee. So Mission Disha succeeded to bring a smile in the face of this college going girl and her mother by getting her admission at Vijaya College for 2nd year B. Com.

On behalf of Mission Disha we thank each and everyone who supported the cause

School admission to Needy

1st task of "Mission ದಿಶಾ" to get school admission to a needy child for 10th standard completed.

We identified a needy 9th standard dropout with some health issues and very poor family background. Though she was interested to learn further, her financial condition was not encouraging. So we assured her to help for studies. Accordingly 1st step is completed by getting admission in Kaggalipura Govt. School today. This is a positive impact of organizing our social outreach programs like health camps. The girl had come for her health check up on Saturday, we got to know about her case during data collection. Satheesh Ji took the initiative immediately, and we have the result now.

Similarly, the kind of data we collected during health camp, gives us few test cases which we can apply for our initiatives and try to get the benefits to the needy individuals.
