1st task of "Mission ದಿಶಾ" to get school admission to a needy child for 10th standard completed. We identified a needy 9th standard dropout with some health issues and very poor family background. Though she was interested to learn further, her financial condition was not encouraging. So we assured her to help for studies. Accordingly 1st step is completed by getting admission in Kaggalipura Govt. School today.This is a positive impact of organizing our social outreach programs like health camps. The girl had come for her health check up on Saturday, we got to know about her case during data collection. Satheesh Ji took the initiative immediately, and we have the result now. Similarly, the kind of data we collected during health camp, gives us few test cases which we can apply for our initiatives and try to get the benefits to the needy individuals.
While there are many popular schemes of Modiji, below 3 turned to be the best for their social impact: 1. Swachh Bharat 2. Beti padao beti bachao 3. Ayushman Bharat One of the focus area for the next 5 years is water conservation and water supply to every house. For us to focus as a group, below programs were suggested: 1. *Ayushman Bharat* Implementation is expected to be better after 2 months once the beneficiary data is updated. 2. *Ujwala* for providing free gas connections 3. *Accidental Insurance* @ ₹12 / annum and *life insurance* cover @ ₹335 / annum 3. *Mudra* - Needy people can form a group and approach Santhoshji through Mr Shashikumar and a facilitator will be arranged. 4. *PM Awas Yojana* for needy provided they own land 5. *Skill India* If there is group, it shall be facilitated by the party. Below 3 points were suggested by Santhoshji for Mission ದಿಶಾ group: 1. Any contribution by each individuals by end of every week towards the society 2. One major contribution every month by this group towards the society. 3.A resolve by every individual that we will never do. For example-never jump the signal, never drive on the wrong side, not to take personal favours from politicians, never throw garbage on the road..etc
As part of the brainstorming discussion, we came up with below 3 themes for us to work going forward: 1. *Facilitator of Government Schemes* – Our role will be to reach out to the needy individuals and ensure that the benefits of the relevant government schemes reach out to them. *Potential activities:* Ayushman Bharat Scheme Aadhar / Voter Id Ration cards (BPL / APL) and ration distribution Ujwala Life / Accidental Insurance Pension Scheme Student scholarship schemes Housing - Avas Yojana Various insurance schemes Jandhan / Mudra Yojana *Team Anchors:* Chetan Chaithanya Amarnath Venkatesh Prasad Gauri Amit *2. Partnership between Elected Representatives and Citizens:* Our role will be to take proactive approach and push our representatives to bring more funds for development and monitor the work. The role of our representatives is very critical here. *Potential Activities:* Janaushadhi Kendra Availability of Health Infrastructure Skill Development Job Mela Lake Developments Public Toilets Civic amenities *Team Anchors:* Shashikumar Ramesh Sridhar Subrahmanya *3. Organize Community Events:* Our role is to organize events that would encourage common peoples participation which will mass help and our future generations. *Potential Activities:* Health Camps Menstrual hygiene awareness Plastic menace awareness Waste Management awareness Help poor students financially Clean up drives Plantation drives *Team Anchors:* Priya Sahana Anita Venkatesh Sudhir Kumar Kamala Sudhir Satheesh Volunteers in each of the above group need to finalize their prioritize activities and need to do a detailed study on the process, procedures, logistics etc as a first thing before taking up those activities. We may need to involve some subject matter experts till we get a hang of it. *Upcoming Activities:* 1. Health Camp on 15th June 2019 in Vajarahalli Samudaya Bhavan 2.
